Polypro webbing is the most cost effective webbing available. Polypropylene webbing has High UV Resistance, High Moisture Resistance, and is Color-Fast.
Polypro is available in either lightweight or heavyweight weaves. Lightweight polypro commonly has a breakstrength of 600 lbs per inch wide. Heavyweight polypro breakstrength is commonly 800 lbs per inch wide. Some imported polypropylene is woven at lower strengths, so always check the listed break strength. Polypro's biggest disadvantage is its abrasion resistance.

Seatbelt webbing is a polyester flat webbing. Seatbelt webbing refers to the weave, not that it is designed to be used for automotive seatbelts. Polyester seatbelt webbing is used for many applications, such as tents, tarps and canvas products. Seatbelt webbing standard breaking strength is 6000 lb. Seatbelt webbing has more sheen and is thinner than standard 2 inch tie down polyester webbing. Also, being made of polyester, seatbelt webbing is very durable, and offers great resistance to elasticity, stretching and moisture. The die process for seatbelt webbing does not provide the UV protection of standard tie-down webbing.
CustomTieDowns.com stock is uncertified 'aftermarket' seatbelt webbing which varied from certain inspection criteria such as color, shade match, elongation, width tolerance, or weaving variations. Our seatbelt webbing is tested to conform to the 6000 lb breaking strength standard, but is not tested for auto seatbelt certification.
Seatbelt webbing is woven to international standard widths, 46 - 49 mm wide (1.8-1.9 inches). The seatbelt webbing is often called 'two inch' but in fact is not woven to that literal width. Check the individual item for specific widths.
